This ridiculous 80's one hit wonder came on Kink as I was driving home, and the horrendous deejay then said they were switchin' to glide for my drive home! Vomit. But this song is pretty hilarious. Nothing matters but the weekend from a Tuesday point of view!

My simian turned me onto this brass band cover of "When the Levee Breaks" sometime last year, but only recently did he send me an actual mp3 of it! Suffice it to say, it is inhumanly awesome. Trombones emulating Jimmy Page's sick guitar is maybe equally as awesome as Jimmy Page's sick guitar. Maybe.

#226: I Need a Lover

I was listening to KGON and realized - this song is hilarious. I like to imagine the past girlfriends of the writer hearing this and hanging their heads in disgrace for ever dating such an ass who would write that they need a lover who will "thrill me and then go away." Or just a song that so ridiculously reinforces the commitment-phobic male stereotype. AKerr is trying to make "that's what he said" a thing - but not in the way that "that's what she said" is a thing. It goes a little more like this: "I'm not sure if I can commit to that yet" "That's what he said!" Unfortunately, there aren't as many phrases in the world that have a double meaning involving something a dude stereotype might say in a relationship as there are sexual innuendos.

Spoon likes to leave his music on all day. But that's ok, because he has good music.

Does this player work better or worse than the old one (that I used, for example, here)? I switched to Chrome and the old one is slow and weird in my browser now. But it worked well in Firefox. Opinions? No? No one reads my blog? Ok.
